Join artist, curator and critic Kenny Schachter as he discusses the new craze of NFTs (non-fungible tokens) in the artwork world and the sale of a digital artwork by Beeple at Christie’s auction residence. Offered by BFA Fine Arts.
Kenny Schachter has been curating modern artwork reveals in museums and galleries and training (art record and economics) for extra than 30 years presently, he teaches in the graduate section of the College of Zurich (exactly where he was appointed to the advisory board in January 2021) and at the University of Visible Arts and New York College. He has lectured internationally, been the recipient of a Rockefeller supported grant in Mexico and contributed to books on Paul Thek, Zaha Hadid, Vito Acconci and Sigmar Polke/Gerhard Richter. Schachter has a frequent column on artnet.com in addition to writing greatly for different global publications, which include, most lately, New York magazine and The Instances magazine (United kingdom). He had a retrospective of his art at Joel Mesler’s Rental Gallery in New York in the summer time of 2018, curated an show at Simon Lee Gallery in London in fall 2018 and a just one-human being present at Kantor Gallery, LA, in February 2019.
